Paul Sieffert (French, 1874-1957), oil on canvas entitled “Model Resting”, signed ‘P.Sieffert.’ lower right; signed and inscribed ‘P.Sieffert. no 725’ on the reverse, within hand carved Chippendale style gilt wooden frame, complete with a copy of the original receipt from Gladwell & Co Limited of London dated 11th January 1955, original price £126, has been in the same family ever since this receipt, the original receipt is being sold with the previous lot as they were both purchased at the same time.
